eLearning for MDaemon is a fast and economical way to understand the basics of running your own email server. Our current eLearning course is in reference to MDaemon 9.x

The course is designed for those who install, configure and maintain MDaemon. It presents both the concepts of email and the practical applications of MDaemon, such as account maintenance, mailing list management and spam control.

The online training consists of self-paced audiovisual content with conceptual illustrations, practical screen examples and review questions. If there is something you do not understand you can send a question to the course instructors. They will respond to you by email.

For your convenience, MDaemon eLearning is available 24-hours a day, seven days a week, anywhere you have access to the Internet, a supported web browser (see below) and the current Flash plugin.

The online training has a total duration of five hours, and covers the following:

• fundamentals of email, including basic information about the POP, IMAP and SMTP protocols.
• various uses of MDaemon, such as local email server, independent email server, security gateway and backup server.
• basic configuration of all major features -- primary domains, secondary domains, web mail, groupware, antispam, content filters, mailing lists, gateways, catalogs and remote administration, to name a few.
